MOC - Fashion Comission - FIKR project

Elevating fashion sector in KSA

Since its establishment in 2020, the Fashion Commission, with generous support from the Ministry of Culture, has worked on empowering and developing the fashion sector in the Kingdom. This includes creating an environment that nurtures creativity, builds capabilities, and achieves global leadership in the fashion industry. At Meshbak, we take pride in being the creative partner of the Fashion Commission, enhancing the impact and extending its reach. We contributed by developing the identity for the “Fikr” space and its communication and marketing strategy. “Fikr” is a platform under the Fashion Commission that brings together talented designers in a permanent space to interact with industry experts, refine their practices, and gain valuable insights.

Work strategy:

Building on a deep understanding of the commission’s strategy and projects, we relied on extensive research, ongoing discussions, and both local and global studies to develop the identity strategy. This strategy encompassed the brand’s personality, tone of voice, messages, and its pyramid structure consisting of its vision, mission, and values. This foundation became the basis for developing the brand name and visual identity for the “Fikr” project.The name “Fikr” was chosen to clearly represent the project’s activities and goals, embodying the core principle of fostering thinking and creativity as essential pillars for achieving the desired vision.We then focused on creating a visual identity aligned with the brand’s vision. The design reflects the communication identity, ensuring full integration between the visual and communicative elements. A comprehensive communication and marketing strategy was developed to solidify the brand’s presence both internally and externally. The visual identity design incorporated Arabic typography to strengthen the cultural and local connection, while the rectangular shape was introduced as a core design element, symbolizing the open creative space and flexibility to explore new ideas. This combination of visual and communicative elements resulted in a cohesive identity that supports the brand’s vision and enhances its presence and impact.
